My estimated tax payment for Q4 was paid in 1/2019, and it’s now showing up as a payment made for Q1 and Q2 of 2019. And my payment in QB for 2018 Q4 shows $0. How can I adjust this?
Hello there, @JMal.
Thank you for choosing QuickBooks as your accounting partner. I can help you adjust the estimated taxes in QBSE.
If the estimated tax payment is a downloaded transaction, you'll have to exclude it and manually enter the tax payment. The tax payment transaction must have the 4th quarter date.
That should adjust the tax payment, JMal.
I'm still here to help you more if there's anything else you need about taxes. Just add a comment below or mention my name. Wishing you all the best.
It's great to hear again from you, @JMal.
I'd be delighted to help walk you through adding and applying your estimated tax payments.
As what my colleague, @HoneyLynn_G mentioned, let's locate the payment that were downloaded from your bank and exclude it. Here's how:
Once the transaction is excluded, here's how to manually add it.
That should do it! The payments should be applied automatically to your tax payments.
Keep me posted if you have other questions about recording and applying your tax payments in QuickBooks Self-Employed. I’m always here to help.
