Question

For some reason, none of our refunds are being imported into my Quickbooks Online account. Only the deposits show up, but none of the refunds. Anyone else dealing with it

QuickBooks Online depends on what transactions are shared by your bank, @garrett-cottam.

This is the possible reason none of the refunds were imported to QuickBooks Online (QBO). To help fix this, you can manually update your account to download the latest transactions. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu at the left pane, and then select the bank account you'll want to update.
  2. Click the Update button at the upper right part.

Please take note that QBO downloads the latest info every night around 10 PM PT. For most banks, it's available the day after they post to their website. However, some may take a little longer.

If the same thing happens, the issue may be on the bank’s end like system maintenance. Please check your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts. Proceed to Step 2 of this resource for the steps on how: What to do if bank transactions won't download.

To prevent duplicates and ensure all transactions are accounted for correctly, you'll want to categorize and match them. You also have the option to reconcile them so they match your real-life bank statements.

I'm always around to lend a hand if you've got more QuickBooks concerns. Take care and stay safe always.
