How do I turn off the auto clear when transactions are imported from the bank

One possible reason your transactions automatically marks everything as cleared when imported from the bank is you've set up rules to categorize them. Let's go to the Rules page and turn off the Auto-add option. Here's how:

1. Go to the Banking menu.
2. Select the Rule tab.
3. Locate the rule, then select the Edit option under the Actions column.
4. In the Edit rule window, go to the Automatically confirm transactions this rule applies to section, then turn off the Auto-add option.
5. Click Save.

It's also possible that the Show suggested rules option is turned on when downloading the bank data. Let's go back to the Banking page and deactivate it. Here's how:

1. Go to the Banking menu.
2. Choose the Banking tab.
3. Click the Gear icon on the right side menu. 
4. Uncheck the Show suggested rules option from the Transaction details section.

After categorizing your transactions, you can start reconciling your account. Before that, I'd recommend performing this process every month. This is to effectively monitor your income, expenses, and detect errors accordingly.
