Question

How do you export QBO to QBD since IE doesn't work anymore but it's the only browser you can do it with?

IE 64 doesn't work, I can't install IE 32. Edge doesn't work. Nothing else works. Who makes programs that work with each other that don't work? Quicken

Welcome and thanks for visiting the Community, @freeamericas.

At this time, you can initiate the exporting process using Internet Explorer (IE) 11 or higher version. Let's first configure the security settings of your IE, then set it in administrative mode.

Here's how:

  1. Right-click the Internet Explorer icon and select Run as administrator.
  2. Go to the Tools ⚙ icon, then Internet Options.
  3. Choose Security, then Trusted Sites.
  4. Pick Sites.
  5. From the Add this website to the zone field, enter *.intuit.com and *.qbo.intuit.com.
  6. Make sure Require server verification (https: ) for all sites in this zone is unchecked.
  7. Close the Trusted Sites window.
  8. Make sure Enable Protected Mode is unchecked.
  9. Select Apply, then Okay.
  10.  Leave Internet Explorer open.

Once done, you can use this link to start the exporting process: http://qbo.intuit.com/app/exportqbodatatoqbdt.

After that, you can now set up QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for export. You can refer to this article and proceed to Steps 2-for the detailed instructions: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

There are also some limitations that you need to take note of during the conversion. Check out this article for more information: Limitations when you convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
