Let's check some probable causes that could prevent the program from matching bank items:
See if the transaction isn't older than 180 days.
Confirm that the transaction has not been reconciled.
Verify the transaction was entered using the same bank account.
Make sure it has not been previously matched to another bank downloaded transaction.
If it is a deposit or payment received, ensure it is not on the Bank Deposit page (undeposited).
If it doesn't fall into any of the above criteria, then it could be a browser issue. We can do some troubleshooting to resolve the problem.
Let's start by accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. A typical browser uses a cache of memory to work efficiently and load pages faster. However, as data collects it can also cause unexpected results.
You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:
Safari: Command + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P
Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
If you're able to match transactions, then I suggest going back to your regular browser and clear its cache.
Otherwise, you can switch to another browser if the same thing happens. This way, you can check whether this has something to do with your browser.
You also have the option to Exclude the transactions instead of matching them. This will simply move the transactions out of the For Review tab, and won't impact your books since you've already recorded the entry. Simply select the transactions you want to remove and select Exclude.
