Question

Need to complete adding transactions from my bank that I thought was already uploaded. But, after hitting the banking tab, it stays on the automate income page.

Hi there, tlc28645.

Websites and web applications use browser cache and cookies to run faster. Though, there some issues that can manifest from cached browser data stored on your computer. As the number of cache and cookies builds up on your computer, they can contribute to slow performance and unusual behaviors in QuickBooks.

I can share some basic troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. First, let's access your QBO account in a private/incognito browser. Feel free to use the shortcut keys that I've listed below.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P

This process will help us point our if this is a browser-related issue since private browsing doesn't save site data. Once you're in, let's go to the Banking tab again and upload your bank transactions. If it's now working well, we'll need to go back to your regular/normal browser and initiate a clear cache to get rid of the stored temporary internet files.

Alternatively, we can use other supported browsers to further isolate the issue. It could be that the one you're currently using has a temporary problem with QuickBooks Online.

After uploading your bank transactions, it’s time to match and categorize them.

As always, you can find me here if you have any other concerns or questions about bank transactions. Have a great rest of the weekend.
