Thanks for reaching out to us, TPJR.

The name of the payee can be found under the PAYEE ACCOUNT column in your bank register. If you're still not able to view the payee, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this issue. Web browsers save cookies and cache as files in your system. They’re small in size, but over time, you can accumulate a lot of them. When that happens, your web browser must use more and more power to properly load saved web pages, which may cause unusual behaviors in QuickBooks.

We can start by using a private window to access your QuickBooks Online account. This will help us in isolating the issue since this mode will not save site data. Check out the shortcut keys that I've listed below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Once done, let's try to access your bank register again. If it's now working well, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to get rid of the accumulated junk files. If you still encounter the same issue, we can use other supported browsers. It could be that the one you're currently using right now has a temporary problem with QBO.

In case you have an extensive chart of accounts, we can we can assign numbers for your accounts to keep your them organized and easy to find.
