QB crashes when I try to connect a bank account

I have some troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix the issue. 

Let's try connecting your bank account using a sample file. Doing so help identify if the issue is due to your bank or its servers. Here's how:

1. Go to the File▼ drop-down menu.
2. Select the New Company option.
3. Type in a name for the dummy company file and then hit Save.
4. Fill in the field boxes in the Create New Company wizard and choose Finish.
5. Add the bank account to the Chart of Accounts.
6. Set up online banking for the account.
7. Click Download transactions.

If the problem persists, the issue could be on the bank’s website. I recommend, check the account information and verify there’s an outage.
