Question

QBO and my Bank are not importing Bank Transactions memos.

Hi there, so when I'm able to add a memo to my electronic banking (deposits, transfers, withdrawals), my bank and/or QBO is not importing my memo from my bank to QBO - is there a way? The memo is very important and I use it a lot.To manually research and re-add the memo in QBO would be time consuming

Hello sbny,

 

When you connect your bank, the downloaded transactions we received is dependent to what your bank shares with QuickBooks Online. I'd recommend reaching out to your bank about this to ensure that the memos are included when downloading the transactions. From there, you can refresh the Banking page manually by clicking the Update button.

 

If the same thing happens, you can ask a valid WebConnect file from your bank. This file contains the cleared bank transactions. Make it includes the memos per transaction. Then, you can import to the Banking page. You can use these articles as your guide:
