Question

QBO is not accepting a work location address of Fairchild AFB, WA 99011. It says the city, state and zip don't match, but they do. Why isn't it accepting this address?

Not to worry, I'm here to make sure you can add the work location successfully in QuickBooks Online, @tlake.

There are some occasions that QuickBooks doesn't accept a combination of city, county, or zip code. You'll have to make sure that you enter the accurate information. You can use the USPS Zip Lookup Tool to validate your address. It has a searchable database to look for a specific address using the street address, city, state, and zip code.

I found three matches when I tried to enter the address you gave using the USPS tool. It seems like you'll have to type in "Air Force Base" instead of its acronym only. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the USPS Zip Lookup Tool.
  2. Select Find by Address.
  3. Enter the following:
    • FAIRCHILD - Street Address
    • AFB - City
    • WA - State
    • 99011 - ZIP code
  4. Click Find.

See screenshots below for your reference.

That should keep you going, @tlake. Keep me posted if you have other questions or concerns. I'm always around to help!
