Reconcilliation--Ending Balance & Cleared are identical, but QB shows a Difference of $180?

Doing a reconciliation of a very little-used checking account... no activity for months. Past reconcilliations have been simple and perfect. (No new activity, so only about three clicks and done.)

Go in this month to do the same (no activity last month) and as usual, my Ending Balance is the same as my Beginning Balance (same as Ending last month) and since there's nothing to Clear, my Cleared balance is the same, boring amount.

BUT, this time, right below the two Identical Balances, QB shows  "Difference 180.00"... and if I try to reconcile, it asks me if I want to make an Adjustment....    how could there be a Difference if the amounts are identical?

Thank you for pointing this out to us, RBMercer! From the screenshot you shared, it appears that your ending balance and cleared balance don't match. This mismatch is the reason for the reconciliation discrepancy.

To resolve this, I recommend reviewing your reconciliation process and paying close attention to the transactions you mark as Cleared to pinpoint the root cause of the issue.
