Can i create 1099's for subcontractors with QB simple start?

i have set up my contractors and catagorized my checks to them from 2020 ( linked bank account) however i am new to QB this year so the checks are from my checking account not QB

I'm here to lend hand, userstevegoodrich.

 

In QuickBooks, you can set up your contractors as vendors and track payments to them. I'll show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Payroll menu, then select Contractors.
  2. Select Add a contractor
  3. Enter your contractor’s info, or select the Email this contractor checkbox so they can fill it out.
  4. When you're done, select Add contractor.

Once done, let's start tracking their payments. Here are the steps:

 

  1. Go to the Expenses menu and select Vendors.
  2. Select the vendor you want to track and open their profile.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Select and check the Track payments for 1099 checkbox.
