Direct Deposit after backup of company file Quick books 2020 pro with enhaned payroll
I had a hardware failure that resulted in the loss of the company file and the most recent backup. I restore the company file with a backup from the end of the previous month. I had done a single direct deposit of a paycheck that was lost. When I restored a the file, the system noted the missing direct deposit and restored the transaction to intiuit into the check registry for the correct amount. However, it did not retore the actual paycheck transaction that usually shows up as a zero dollar (but with all the paycheck detailed amounts) transaction. I entered the paycheck and it show up in the check registry coreectly. I was also able to restore other missing checks. Everything looked good. At the end of the month I went to do another direct deposit for the same emplyoee and Quickbooks generated a message saying that I had another transaction in process and as a result it was generating paycheck for two times the normal amount. It also said in the warning I needed to correct the payroll. To get a paycheck to the emplyoee, I printed a check. The system is now warning me that I have unprocessed paychecks. How do I correct this mess? And keep the payroll tax information accurate.
