Good day, @userawgladney.

There are different ways to record your 1099 income in QuickBooks. I can guide you on how to do it.

First, you can use a sales receipts if you receive full payment at the time of the service or if your customers give you immediate payment.

  1. Go to + New.
  2. Select Sales receipt.
  3. Choose the customer from the Customer drop-down.
  4. Enter the income details.
  5. Click Save and Closed.

On the other hand, if your customer defer their pay for a specific period of time, you can create an invoice. Here's how:

  1. Choose + New.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. From the Customer ▼ drop-down, select a customer.
  4. Enter  the Invoice date.
  5. Pick the product or service from the Product/Service column.
  6. Enter a quantity, rate and change amount if needed.
  7. Select the Tax checkbox if you need to charge sales tax.
  8. Click Save and Close.

Once your customer's pay, you can record its payment and deposit it. You can read through this article for more detailed instructions: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online

Lastly, you can connect the bank account where the 1099 income was deposited. Once it is downloaded, you can categorized it as income.
