There are different ways to record your 1099 income in QuickBooks. I can guide you on how to do it.
First, you can use a sales receipts if you receive full payment at the time of the service or if your customers give you immediate payment.
Go to + New.
Select Sales receipt.
Choose the customer from the Customer drop-down.
Enter the income details.
Click Save and Closed.
On the other hand, if your customer defer their pay for a specific period of time, you can create an invoice. Here's how:
Choose + New.
Select Invoice.
From the Customer ▼ drop-down, select a customer.
Enter the Invoice date.
Pick the product or service from the Product/Service column.
Enter a quantity, rate and change amount if needed.
Select the Tax checkbox if you need to charge sales tax.
Click Save and Close.
