How do I enter 2019 wages for an employee that worked for the company before we purchased it so I can send W2 forms?

You'll want to have the 2019 Year To Date (YTD) of the employee from their previous employer to run a payroll.

Then, to enter the wages in your QuickBooks Online (QBO):

1. Go to the Workers menu and select the Employees tab.
2. Select Add employee or select an employee if you already added the employee.
3. Enter the employee's information and click Done.
