I accidentally paid the wrong name in payroll list. QuickBooks payroll tax center auto pays my tax bills. how do i cancel this person off the tax liability payment?

If the paycheck is not yet processed, follow these steps on how to delete the transaction:

1. Go to the Workers in the left menu, then select Employees.
2. Under Run Payroll, select Paycheck list.
3. Look for the paycheck that you need to delete and check the box before it.
4. Click Delete. Please take note that printed transaction can be deleted up until the pay date. Direct Deposit paycheck on the other hand up can be cancelled until 6:59 AM (Pacific time) the day of submission.
5. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete it.

If you can no longer see the Delete button, please contact our Payroll Support Team. They can verify your account and help you delete the paycheck. Here's how:

1. Go the Help menu and click Contact Us.
2. Let them know that you need to delete a paycheck, then click Let's talk.
3. Click Message an agent or Get a callback.
