I have QB Plus Online with Payroll. I need to make employees inactive.

To do this, you can click the name of the employee, click the pencil icon next to Employment and choose a reason in the Status droplist. 

If you want to see or hide your list of inactive employees, you can toggle between the options in the Employee list page.
