Hi there, @wiwimujo.

COVID-19 is truly a global health issue affecting everyone and causing concern for you and our customers. The Families First Coronavirus Response Act goes into effect with leave taken April 1, 2020, and after.

Our payroll teams here at Intuit are working quickly to create the appropriate pay types. So you can track and report hours towards this tax credit for your small business. Changes are coming daily to QuickBooks Online Payroll and are not eligible for any tax credits at this time.

However, you can manually remove the taxes when you run payroll in QuickBooks. Here's how;

  1. Go to the Taxes tab then select Payroll tax.
  2. Select View tax payments you have made under Taxes.
  3. Select the name of the tax payment. Change the date range if necessary.
  4. From the drop-down, select Delete.
  5. Select Yes to confirm.

You can read out these articles to learn about the recent updates about COVID-19 that will help your business in QuickBooks.
