Thanks for posting your question in the Community, @larryg255.

I've got some info to share about the health insurance contributions amount on your paychecks in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Normally, QBO will depend on the previous payroll when calculating deductions and contributions.

If you've run a zero paycheck to skip the prior period, QBO will auto-calculate the amounts since it detects that there were no deductions made. This might be the reason it doesn't match the employer contributions for health insurance.

Meanwhile, you'll want to edit unapproved paychecks in QBO. This way, you can adjust their amounts. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Preview payroll page, and then choose the edit (pencil) icon ✏️ beside the Net pay amount.
  2. Make the desired changes, and then select OK.
  3. Click Submit payroll when you're ready.

On the other hand, if you have approved manual paychecks, please browse this article for the steps on how: Change an employee paycheck.

Also, there are a couple of payroll reports that you can take advantage of in QBO. To access them, simply go to the Reports menu, and then refer to the Payroll section.

To get the desired details for your reports, you may want to customize them. You also have the option to memorize them for easy future access.

I'm always around to help if you've got more payroll concerns or anything else related to QuickBooks. Take care and have a great day.
