When I click on either Download only changes and additions or Download entire payroll update, the program crashes.

When I click on either Download only changes and additions or Download entire payroll update, the program crashes. Error log is below:

The error indicates data issues with your company file, Vena1.


You can run the Verify and Rebuild Data tools to get rid of the error you received. This can help identify issues within your company and resolve them right away. You can follow the steps below to do it:
 

  1. Go to the File menu, then hover over Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data.
  3. Click OK on the QuickBooks Information window and follow the steps to save a backup.
  4. Let the tool repair your file. It may take some time, and the program may seem stuck, but as long as you can move your mouse, the tool is working.
  5. Click OK when finished.
  6. Return to the File menu, choose Utilities again, and select Verify Data.
  7. If QuickBooks detects issues, select Rebuild Now.

 

After running these tools, try downloading the tax table update again. If you are still seeing the same issues, use the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix your company file.
