Question

When I go into weekly timesheets, I no longer have any employees in the dropdown. I've been using this for 15 years. Has something changed?

Good to see you here, sstewart64.

I've checked for similar reported issues in our system and didn't find any. We can perform a few browser troubleshooting steps to verify if the issue you're currently experiencing is caused by stored cache files. There are times that the browser is full of frequently-accessed page resources, thus causing websites, like QuickBooks Online, to act unusually.

You can start by logging into your QBO account using a private browser. To use one, here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to see your list of employees when creating weekly timesheets, it means that you need to switch back to the regular browser to clear the cache so the system will refresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different browser.

Feel free to check out this article for more details on creating timesheets.

Keep me posted on how this works. Take care and have a great day!

Hello

Thank you for your suggestions.  I had tried clearing the cache, but that did not help.  At least not immediately.  I rebooted and logged on again the next day, and it was back to normal.  I have to admit that I had had about 20 tabs open in Firefox and had not rebooted my machine in over a week.  (But that's not unusual for me, and this had never happened before.)  So there was something out there confusing Quickbooks.  I will try to clean up my laptop more often. :)

Again, thank you!
