Let me show you how to add state disability insurance in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

You'll have to add an employee deduction if you are sharing the cost with your employees. Please follow these steps:

1. Go to the Payroll menu and select the Employees tab.
2. Click the employee's name, and then click Edit employee.
3. Tap Add deduction under Does this employee have any deductions?
4. Choose Deduction/contribution > New deduction/contribution > Other deductions.
5. Select a deduction type a name (appears on paycheck). Click OK to save it.
