Hello, jodanielephillip.

I'm here to help you change your credit card on file and resolve the issues.

If you've encountered an error message, make sure there are no special characters when typing the new credit card information. You'll also want to make sure that the billing information for the new card is correct.

If there are no error messages, certain webpage cache issues can cause problems when updating your payment method. You'll want to rule this out by using an incognito or private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari (new versions): Command + Option + P

From there, log in to your QuickBooks Online account and change the payment method again. If you're able to do so without any issues, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache

After clearing the cache, close out any browser processes to complete the step. Another thing you can do is to use another supported browser

Also, regarding the increased charges, do you have the payroll module included? If so, we recently changed the pricing for our payroll plans. You can check the details here: QuickBooks Online Payroll price increase, and feature updates FAQ.

For more details about updating your payment method, you can check this article: Update billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

We have a bunch of articles available that contain guides and important pointers about features and functions. Browse for them in our articles list page if you need help managing your books.

You can always reply to this thread in case you have other concerns with QuickBooks Online. I'm here to help and provide details about your questions.
