I understand the impact of any delay in releasing your customer's payments, @rvincelli50.

Hold payments happens when our Team find issues upon reviewing the transactions. Here are some possible reasons why your funds are on-hold:

  • When a transaction is processed after several authorization attempts and failures.
  • When your payment processing exceeds the established maximum dollar amount expected on your account.
  • When certain transactions require verification of your business type to ensure it is compliant with the Intuit Acceptable Use Policy.
  • When our systems identify processing patterns that pose a risk to any of the parties involved: You, your customer or to Intuit.

Usually, we send email to request some information about the transaction and your business to help speed up our review. If we’re looking at individual transactions, we may ask for info about your customer (the cardholder) and the payment, like the billing address and or receipt. We’ll include specifics in the email so you know exactly what to send us.

Also, you can verify the status of your customer's payments by accessing your Merchants account. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. You'll see the word Withheld in the Method column. This is to indicate that the payment is on hold and we're reviewing it.
  3. Any time there's an issue, you'll get an email at the email address you use to sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  4. Read the email carefully. It will give you specific steps to fix any issues.
  5. Then, follow the steps in the email as soon as possible.

You can read through these articles for more detailed insights:

If the funds are still on hold for a while, I recommend connecting with our Support Team for further assistance. They have extra tools to pull up your account securely and check the possible reasons for the funds being withheld. Here's how to contact us:

  1. Visit: https://community.intuit.com/browse/payments-contact-us.
  2. Choose the specific Merchants Service product you're using.

Don't hesitate to get back to us here if you have other questions or concerns. I'm always here to lend a hand.
