Welcome to the Community, amdoffice.

There's a few scenarios where workers won't receive their scheduled direct deposit. Here's a list of the reasons why this could happen:

  • It was submitted after the 5 PM PST cutoff time. If this occurs, payroll will be processed on the next business day.
  • The pay date is on a non-business day (weekends or holidays).
  • An employee's bank account details are entered incorrectly.
  • There's a problem with your employee's bank.

In the event this is happening because of the last two listed possibilities, usually funds will be rejected by the employee's bank and returned to your account within 2 - 3 banking days. You can pay workers this has happened to with a paper check in the meantime.

In our fix direct deposit issues article, businesses are recommended to contact Intuit requesting a direct deposit trace if the employee doesn't receive their money the day after their scheduled pay date.

Please don't hesitate to respond if you have any other questions. I'll be here to help. Have a wonderful day!
