Question

Will quickbooks payroll take care of payroll taxes entirely, or will it merely take note of what's due for me to pay at the end of the year?

Let me provide some information about Payroll Services features, Garland.

It depends on the Payroll service you subscribe to in QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you're using QBO Enhanced Payroll or Core, forms or taxes are automatically generated. Also, it calculates paychecks and taxes. Then, QBO will notify you when you can e-file and e-pay payroll forms/taxes on your account.

For more details about the features in this payroll plan, refer to these articles:

If you're using QBO Full Service Payroll, Intuit files and pay taxes for you. It only files those forms that are required for your company.

To learn more about the features available for Full-Service Payroll, check these articles:

To check on what payroll service you have, see the Which payroll service do I have? article for the steps and details.

I've got a link here that provides you with articles about payroll in your account: Pay employees, enter timesheets, and send payroll forms.

I'm just one click away if you need a hand with running payroll reports or any QBO related. I'm always here to help. Have a great day ahead.
