Update Commonwealth Bank connections to Direct Feeds
All customers with connected CBA accounts will need to move to Direct Feeds in order to continue downloading transactions to QuickBooks.
It only takes a few minutes to enrol to Direct Feeds, but it can take up to 10 days for the connection to become active, so it is important to act quickly to ensure there is no interruption in data.
Note: If you have not previously added a bank in QuickBooks Online, you won’t see the Get a better connection alert. Instead follow these Instructions: Connecting your bank account to QuickBooks via Direct feed

Why is this change taking place?
CBA has decided to only support their customers’ accounts being connected to the most stable and secure type of bank connection. This will ensure transactions come through to QuickBooks reliably without loss of data in the event the bank site has issues or your Internet Banking sign-in information changes.
What happens if I don't connect a Direct Feed now?
If you do not connect a Direct Feed your CBA bank feeds in QBO will stop updating. It takes approximately 10 working days for the Direct Feed to be activated, so you’ll need to apply as soon as possible to prevent an interruption in your data.
What are Direct Feeds?
Direct Feeds provide a secure and reliable connection between your bank account and QuickBooks, ensuring data accuracy with regular and automatic transaction updates.
Direct feeds mean that the bank is “directly” connected to QBO, and is sending us your transaction data. With Standard connections, we use your Internet Banking login to access the transactions, but Direct Feeds never have changing passwords, and always have the most accurate information since it comes straight from the bank.
Once a connection is established, QuickBooks can receive transactions without requiring additional bank sign-in information - saving you time!
Can I connect my CBA Credit Card account via Direct Feeds?
Credit cards are not available for Direct Feeds at this time, but we are actively working with CBA to make business Credit Card connections this available in the coming months. Personal Credit Cards will not be available to connect to QBO due to CBA limitations. You will see communication in QBO when this is active.
How can I send in the authorisation form?
Forms can be printed, signed, scanned, and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If no scanner available, you may take a clear photo with your mobile device and email it.
If no scanner or mobile device available, you can post the form to:
SISS Data Services Pty Ltd
