Receive important email messages from Intuit

Learn how to add Intuit's service email addresses in your email's list of accepted senders.

Unable to receive emails from Intuit? We're here to help. Follow the steps for your email provider to start receiving Intuit emails.

Note: If you're using a corporate email account, you may need to work with your IT department or administrator to complete the process.

Intuit's service email addresses

We provide services that enhance your QuickBooks Online experience. Each of our services has its own email address. These service-related email addresses needs to be set as a "safe sender" or whitelisted on your email account to make sure you receive important communications from these services.

Add approved email adresses for your email provider

Reminders when troubleshooting missing emails

  • Validation code emails come from do_not_reply@intuit.com during sign-in and usually take 1 to 2 minutes before you receive it. Make sure to check your spam and junk folders.
  • Search for the email address do_not_reply@intuit.com in all of your folders including spam and junk. If you see one of the emails from Intuit, right-click the email, then select This is not spam or Not Junk.
  • Some email domains may block @intuit.com communications on their servers. These steps may resolve your issue:
    1. Send an email to do_not_reply@intuit.com. This should trigger the email domain to recognise the @intuit domain as a trusted site. Then try your request again.
    2. Wait at least 5 minutes after requesting a new verification code to see if the email appears in your inbox.
    3. If the email doesn't appear after 10 minutes, contact your email provider to evaluate security settings for your email profile.
Note: Add do_not_reply@intuit.com to your contact list or address book before you proceed with the following steps.

AOL

  1. Go to Mail, then select Address Book.
  2. Select An Address Card in the Address Book window.
  3. In the Other email field, enter do_not_reply@intuit.com.
  4. Select Primary email to make it the primary one, then select Save.

Apple Mail (Mac)

  1. Go to Mail, then select Preferences.
  2. Select Junk Mail, then select the Sender of message is in my Address Book checkbox.
  3. Add do_not_reply@intuit.com to your Address Book.
  4. Open the Address Book from the Launchpad, Dock, or from the Applications folder.
  5. Select Add (+) from your contact list to create a new contact card.
  6. Enter do_not_reply@intuit.com, then select Done or Save.

Comcast

  1. Sign in to your XFINITY account, then select the Email icon.
  2. Select Preferences, then select Email filters and signatures.
  3. Select Add Filter, then enter a name for it (ex. Intuit Email Filter).
  4. Select Add condition, then select Sender/From.
  5. Select Contains for the parameter, then enter QuickBooks@notification.intuit.com, do_not_reply@intuit.com, and all the other email address from the Intuit service you're using.
  6. Select Save.

Gmail

  1. Select Contacts.
  2. Select Add Contact, then enter do_not_reply@intuit.com as the primary email address.
  3. Select Save.
  4. Once you've added the email address to the safe sender's list, close all browser windows.
  5. Open a new browser and attempt the sign-in process again.

Hotmail

  1. Open your Hotmail inbox.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Select Junk email Protection, then select Safe List.
  4. In the Type an address or domain field, enter @intuit.com.
  5. Select Add, then select Tools.
  6. Select Options, then on the preference tab select Junk email.
  7. Select Safe Senders, then select Add.
  8. In the Add Address field, enter @intuit.com, then select OK.
  9. Once you've added the email address to the safe sender's list, close all browser windows.
  10. Open a new browser window and attempt the sign-in process again.

Microsoft Exchange (Office 365)

  1. Select Settings ⚙.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Under Accounts, select Block or Allow.
  4. Under Safe Senders and Recipients, enter do_not_reply@intuit.com.
  5. Select Plus (+) in the field to add an email, then select Add to list.

Microsoft Outlook

Newer versions

  1. Go to the Home tab.
  2. From the Junk ▼ drop-down menu, select Junk Email Options.
  3. Select the Safe Sender tab.
  4. Select Add, then enter do_not_reply@intuit.com.
  5. Select OK, then select the Automatically add people I email to Safe Sender List checkbox.
  6. Select Apply, then select OK.

Office 2010

  1. Go to the Home tab.
  2. Select Junk, then select Junk Email Options.
  3. Select the Safe Senders tab, then select Add.
  4. Enter do_not_reply@intuit.com, then select OK.
  5. Select the Automatically add people I email to Safe Sender List checkbox, then select Apply.

Office 2007

  1. Go to the Tool menu, then select Options.
  2. Select the Preference tab, then select Junk Email.
  3. Go to the Safe Sender tab, then select Add.
  4. Enter do_not_reply@intuit.com, then select OK.
  5. Select the Automatically add people I email to Safe Sender List checkbox, then select Apply.

Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Select Address Book, then check if the Personal Address Book is highlighted.
  2. Select New Card.
  3. Select Contact.
  4. In the email field, enter do_not_reply@intuit.com, then select OK.
  5. Once you've added the email address to the safe senter's list, close all browser windows.
  6. Open a new browser wndow and attempt the sign-in process again.

Windows Live App

  1. Select the Home tab.
  2. Go to Junk, then select the Safety options ▼ drop-down menu.
  3. In the Safety Options dialog box, select Safe Senders, then select Add.
  4. Enter do_not_reply@intuit.com, then select OK.

Yahoo

  1. Open your Yahoo mailbox.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Select Filters, then select Add.
  4. Locate the From header rule, then select the Contains checkbox.
  5. In the corresponding field, enter @intuit.com.
  6. From the Choose Folder ▼ drop-down, select Inbox.
  7. Select Add Filter.
  8. After you've added the email address to the safe senter's list, close all browser windows.
  9. Open a new browser window and attempt the sign-in process again.
