Welcome back to our forums, @Oberon333,

Allow me to step in for a moment and share additional information about the Multi-user server problem in QuickBooks Mac.

If you're running a Multi-user system, you'll need to make sure all the workstations have the same operating systems, and each QuickBooks file is up to date with the latest release. To check for the most recent version of QuickBooks, you can go to QuickBooks then select Check for QuickBooks Updates. You can see the steps on how to update your QuickBooks Mac's release version: Locate QuickBooks Product Version and Release

Once updated, try checking if it fixes the issue. You can want to check pages 26-29 of this QB Mac 2019 manual to know more about using the Multi-user mode: https://qblittlesquare.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/QuickBooks-for-Mac-2019-1809.pdf

However, if you're getting the same behavior after trying the recommended troubleshooting, I'd suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Mac Support. There they can check your company file, and can help check what's causing the error message. Here's how to contact us:

  1. Go to this link https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
  2. Choose QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
  3. Click Company File.
  4. Scroll down and click the Get Phone Number button.

That should point you in the right support, @Oberon333.

Please update me on how it goes. I'd be glad to provide further assistance should you have any questions. Best regards.
