Thank you for your reply, but I do not believe you understood my problem. Let me provide more information. I have less than 7,000 transactions total in 20 years of Quickbooks data, so I am not a heavy user. If I ask for a QuickReport of all the Dues and subscriptions expenses for a year, a big year might have 25 entries in it. Whenever I choose a custom date range that crosses a year boundary, only entries in the most recent year show up.
Example 1: from Mar 1 2015 to Jan 31 2018, only entries from 2018 will be displayed
Example 2: from Dec 1 2017 to Jan 31 2018, only entries from 2018 will be displayed
I am using Quickbooks 2019 for Mac Version V18.0.5 R6 Build 3312.
I just installed it QB2019 today and upgraded it immediately, so I believe that I have the latest version.
