How to provide required consent to connect your bank accounts to QuickBooks
Beginning in 2018, the way customers share financial banking data is changing. Because of the European Revised Payment Service Directive, Account Information Service Providers, like QuickBooks, must now obtain your consent before connecting to your bank and card accounts to automatically download your banking data. As you know, automatic downloads save you time and reduce human error that can happen with manual data entry.
To give consent to connecting your accounts in QuickBooks, go to your Bank Transactions page and select "Agree" in response to the displayed message.The message also lists all current accounts that are connected in QuickBooks for your review.
If you choose not to agree, QuickBooks will no longer be able to download your data, and your bank feed will enter Error status and will not be refreshed.
To resolve this and refresh your bank feed, you must select the link in the error message and give your consent to allowing QuickBooks to download your bank data.
