Explore your file

After you open the fixed company file, run reports in both the fixed and old file and compare the information to see if there are missing transactions.

Remember! Some transactions may cause file damage. They have to be deleted to get your file back up and running. A high level description of the file issues and the steps taken to fix them is detailed in ReadMe.doc.

If you are using QuickBooks Desktop, here are the reports you can use to review your fixed data. Before running these reports, set the Dates to All and Report Basis to Accrual.

Trial Balance
  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Accountant & Taxes, then Trial Balance.
General Ledger
  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Accountant & Taxes, then General Ledger.
Balance Sheet
  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Company & Financial, then Balance Sheet Standard.
Profit and Loss
  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Company & Financial, then Profit & Loss Standard.

A/R Ageing Summary
  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Customers & Receivables, then A/R Ageing Summary.
A/P Ageing Summary
  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Suppliers & Payables, then A/P Ageing Summary.

To recreate a missing transaction, open the ReadMe.doc file to see the transaction details.
