Ok, I kind of fixed the problem. I reset windows firewall back to factory settings. That seems to of worked. I no longer see it blocking in the QBDB Server Manager. But, now it is my Avast - "avast antivirus antivirus is active on this computer and may be blocking quickbooks". I am using the free version. I have never had this happen before and have used both QB & Avast together for years. When I turn Avast off and run QBDB Server Manager, all is normal. Turn it back on and I get "avast antivirus antivirus is active on this computer and may be blocking quickbooks" when I scan folders. At least now under the Database server tab, I can see both computers either way now. But, when data is entered in one computer, it does not show on the other. I did go into exclusions in Avast and set up QB, but that did not seem to help.
