Hi PAT2019,

 

There are possible reasons why you're unable to register QuickBooks. Below are the following:

  • Your firewall blocks the internet access needed for the program.
  • A no longer supported QuickBooks version (older version).

Let's configure your firewall and then register your QuickBooks again. Here's how:

  1. From Windows search bar open Windows Firewall.
  2. Click Advanced Settings. Then, right-click Inbound Rules.
  3. Click New Rule and then select Port. Then click Next.
  4. Make sure TCP is selected. Then, click Next.
  5. Click Allow the Connection, then click Next.
  6. If prompted, make sure to all profiles are marked. Then, click Next.
  7. Give the rule a name, such as QBPorts(year). Click Finish.

After that, open and register your QuickBooks again.
