Regardless of the method used you will need to enter a vendor bill for the packing fees.
If you use the QB 'build assembly' function to create the finished widget then the vendor bill is just for service fee - no inventory items. But if you use the vendor bill to receive finished items, then your doing this instead of using the 'build assembly' and will also have to account for the components used.
