Hello LorryMarie,

Thank you for posting here in the Community. It would be my pleasure to answer any questions you may have regarding auto-filling transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

Since you didn't notice this issue happening with your older version of QuickBooks, I recommend making sure to update QuickBooks to the latest release. I'm adding steps down below that you can follow:

  1. Click the Help tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Click Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Go to the Update Now tab.
  4. Put a check mark beside Reset Update.
  5. Click Get Updates.

If you're still getting the problem, I recommend reaching out to one of our Technical Support Specialists. They'll be able to pull up your account perform additional troubleshooting about the issue.

I'm adding the steps below on how you can reach them:

  1. Click the Help tab at the top menu.
  2. Click QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact us.

Please know I'm always available here for any additional questions or assistance that you need with creating transactions.
