You can change the invoice terms in two ways by clicking edit default settings on the invoice page or by going to settings on the homepage.

In the invoice page, here's how:

  1. Click the Manage icon in the right corner.
  2. Select the Edit default settings tab.
  3. Under the Sales page, click the pencil icon next to Sales form content.
  4. Choose Net 7 from the list or click Add new if it's not listed yet.
  5. Once done, click Save.

To change terms on the homepage, here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select the Account and settings
  3. Go to the Sales tab.
  4. Follow the same steps as above starting from step 3.

After saving your changes, all new invoices will automatically default to 7-day terms. However, existing invoices will retain their original terms.

For more information on personalizing your settings, check out the Edit company settings in QuickBooks Online.
