Normally, QuickBooks Online accounts have this link as Cancel subscription (paidsubscription) or Cancel trial (if you're using trial).
Since you also tried it a couple of times, you may need to clear the browser's cache to load new QuickBooks cache files before you log in to QuickBooks Online again to cancel the account. The old cache may be the reason it won't let you cancel the account.
Select the Gear icon, and choose Account and Settings.
Click Billing and Subscription.
In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription (paid subscription) or Cancel Trial (if you’re using a trial).
Select Continue to Cancel, then Continue to Cancel again.
There will be exit survey questions to help us enhance the customer experience while using QuickBooks. Then scroll down to select Confirm Cancel. You can also select the Skip survey to cancel link to unsubscribe directly.
You can check out this article for further guidance: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial. It covers the steps on how to unsubscribe QBO account using an iOS or Android device if you subscribe to it from the app store.
