Question

I need to know if I can configure the colums on a sales statement to be wider as currently the data (ie date) wraps and does not look very professional.

Hi there, Jacqui. I completely hear you. Currently, QuickBooks Online doesn't have an option to edit the columns to make them wider on sales statements.

With that in mind, sharing this suggestion directly with our Product Development team is a good path for requesting this option. Just click the Gear icon on the upper right corner and select Feedback under the Profile column to let them know this feature is needed.

Since the last 'improvement' to estimates and invoices I have spent some time trying to change the width of my 'description' column as this is the column which contains the most data. However, Intuit wants other columns such as VAT and Rate to be massively wider than required. Offering a font smaller than 8 point would help, but this isn't possible either. I've had to settle on removing the VAT column from the body of the invoice.

You just have to accept that if you use Intuit, the templates are from the 1990s and your invoices will look amateurish.

Don't bother with the 'Gear Icon'. It might as well be a trash can.
