Question

If auto tracking for mileage is not working and I’ve run through the usual checks, what should I do?

I’ve toggled it in and off, reset qb etc but still none of my trips are being recorded

When auto-tracking is enabled, make sure your device's location access is turned on so the app can detect your movements. Also, keep your internet connection active while driving. QuickBooks relies on your mobile's GPS and a stable connection to log your trip in real time.

If you're using iOS, keep Low Power Mode off to ensure QuickBooks runs in the background, and keep the app open during your trip. For Android devices, avoid using mobile hotspots while driving, as this can interfere with tracking.

For previous trips that haven't been recorded, please record them manually.

The highlighted steps in the attached articles work for all online platforms (QuickBooks Self-Employed, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Sole Trader/Plus).

If it's still not working after trying these steps, feel free to leave a reply below, and we'll be happy to assist further.
