Hello there, Chrissy. We need to adjust the integration setup settings to resolve this issue.

When the connector app imports sales as exclusive of VAT while your QuickBooks Online is inclusive, the settings can override your QBO configuration, resulting in issues due to a mapping problem in the new Etsy sync.

Since the Etsy connector app is only responsible for the data between the Etsy shop platform and QuickBooks Online, we may need to adjust the integration setup's mapping settings to ensure it recognizes your sales as VAT-inclusive.

Please let me know if you have any additional concerns.

How and when can this be resolved? I have tried adjusting the mapping settings in the app for tax (there are only 2) and none provide the correct outcome when importing. I have a VAT quarter that needs to be filed and all my figures are completely incorrect! having to manually edit thousands of transcations to make them inclusive of VAT is simply not a viable option.

Also the ETSY fees being imported are completely wrong, there are multiple fees associated with an ETSY sale and instead of the total fee being imported only one part of the broken down fees is being imported.

I really need to get this sorted out ASAP, this has caused me a huge amount of stress over the last few days. I would really appreciate help getting this sorted out.

Hi there, chrissyjjones. I understand how valuable your time is, particularly when it comes to filing taxes. QuickBooks imports data exactly as provided by the external applications. The Etsy Connector has a designated Tax Mapping section, which is likely where the Exclusive vs. Inclusive conflict is occurring.

I recommend reaching out to Etsy for guidance on setting up sales tax and configuring your account. After contacting Etsy and the transaction being imported is still exclusive of VAT, you can reach out to our Live Support team for further assistance. They can provide you with specific guidance to resolve the issue.

We'll provide ongoing assistance if you have any further concerns.
