Why can’t the sole trader app be making tax digital friendly??? I cannot stand this app that it has told me to download for MTD

Hello there, Jacob. I wanted to give you a bit more context on why that download is popping up. The original Sole Trader app was built on a legacy system that simply isn't equipped to handle MTD. We've introduced QuickBooks Sole Trader Plus, along with another Intuit platform SKU, such as Simple Start, to help businesses remain fully compliant with the new mandate without encountering technical issues.

It's actually a great move to get the upgrade sorted now. Starting April 6, the legacy version won't be recognized as compliant anymore, which could cause some real headaches when you try to submit your returns. Getting it done early means one less thing to worry about when the deadline hits.
