Need a way to "SORT" INVOICES first by SERVICE ITEMS on invoice

Need a way to "SORT" invoices built before sending by SERVICE ITEM first, then Date second. Current default sort is based solely on "Date", ie date 1, date 2...ect.  But for invoices that show multiple labor service types need to be able to sort by employee labor service type first then date, ie employee 1-date 1, employee 1-date 2...employee 2-date 1, employee 2-date 2.etc on invoice before send

It’s my pleasure to help you out with your Invoice Service list, @drefl.

I hear you and realize the importance of being able to speed up the procedure of sorting the services on your invoices.

QuickBooks sorts the Services line items based on the order you enter them. For instance, if you input a service performed on 11/30/2020 and then followed by another line item below that one dated 10/15/2020. The system will remember the order in which you entered them.

Currently, there are two ways to sort these. You can enter them chronologically or by dragging the grid icon up and down from the Invoice page. Please take note to click the Save button after it.

For your reference, I’ve added an animation below to detail the process:

You can also check out these links about filtering your transactions and adding items to QBO for your future use:

What is proposed as a solution does not make sense. Yes it is known you can drag rows, but imagine this real situation, your invoice has to show daily time for the month, you have 5 employees so your invoice is 5 x 30 rows is 150 rows, so what QBO is saying is you have spend 3+ hours dragging around rows of the same employee service item in the invoice just to organize by employee service item!!!. That is crazy!!!!!, all it would take is simple "sort" icon above each invoice built column to simply allow you can sort based in your column need. The other suggesting is equally confusing as employees enter their time at random times throughout day/week so one does not have control over the minute of each day that one of many employees will enter their time during a week in QBO time.   QBO PLEASE ADD A SORT OPTION ON INVOICES SO A USER CAN SORT THE BUILT INVOICE BASED ON A DESIRED COLUM SUCH AS SORTING BY "SERVICE ITEM" FISRT AN THEN SORTING BY "DATE" SECOND ie.  employee 1-date1, employee 1-date 2, employee 1-date 3....employee 2-Date 1, employee 2-Date 2, employee 2-Date 3.  THIS A SIMPLY THING TO DO AND SEEMD ILLOGICAL THAT SYSTEM CANNIOT DO AS ITS A BASIC FUNCTION NEED!!!!!
