This error is usually caused by a package type mismatch or missing dimensions. Make sure to select UPS Package and fill in the Length, Width, Height, and Weight fields completely, since blank dimensions will trigger that compatibility error.
If that does not resolve the issue, reconnecting your UPS account under Manage Carriers should help. Here’s how:
- Go to File, select Shipping Manager, and click Manage Carriers.
- Navigate to the Additional Carrier tab.
- Select the three-dot icon next to UPS, choose Settings, then check or uncheck Enable Negotiated Rates to see if toggling it allows standard rates to populate.
On top of that, ensure your Ship From address and phone number are complete and correctly formatted, as the Shipping Manager's address validation can be strict and may prevent UPS rates from showing.
It is also recommended to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release version as it becomes available to ensure you have all the updated components.
