Unbale to email invoices Desktop Pro 2021

A blank login box with spinning blue dots pops up instead of emailing invoices in Desktop Pro 2021.  It spins after I click Send until I close the box

A spinning blank box in QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021 usually indicates a background connection or program glitch when trying to communicate with your email service. We can use the QuickBooks Tool Hub, a free diagnostic tool from Intuit designed to automatically repair common program and component issues.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Close QuickBooks completely.
  2. Download the most recent version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub from the official Intuit website and save the file to your computer.
  3. Open the downloaded file (QuickBooksToolHub.exe) and follow the on-screen steps to install it.
  4. Once the installation is complete, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the Tool Hub.

The Tool Hub provides several tabs to resolve different types of problems, such as Company File Issues, Network Issues, Installation Issues, Password Reset, Help & Support, and Advanced Tools.

Use the Program Problems tab to resolve email issues in the app, including PDF and print errors. Since QuickBooks handles emailing invoices like printing a PDF, refreshing these components can help fix the frozen login screen.

For more detailed information on how to run it, check out this article: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.

I want to help you get past that spinning box so you can successfully email your invoices. Following these steps should fix the connection and get your billing sent right out. If you need any further help, just let me know, and we can try another step together. Have a great weekend!

Thank you very much for the reply.  I tried the Tool Hub but it didn't fix the problem.  It seems like it might  be a problem accepting gmail addresses, as I have tried 2 different gmail addresses and both times I got the spinning blue dots. I just tried an AOL address and it asked me for the password like its supposed to - It didn't work completely because it's not accepting my password (I will reset the password and try again but it looks like it will work)

You may want to try updating QuickBooks Desktop and resetting your email preferences. Also check if the default browser and email app are properly configured on Windows.

Sometimes the spinning login box issue is caused by:

  • outdated QuickBooks version

  • damaged web cache

  • Intuit login session problems

You can also try:

  1. Run QuickBooks as Administrator

  2. Verify and rebuild company file

  3. Clear cache in Internet Options

  4. Re-sign into your Intuit account inside QuickBooks

Hope this helps.
