Upgraded from Self employeed to Quick Book Online and all my expense data is missing

I have Upgraded from Self-employed to Quick Book Online and all my expense data is missing. 

( I have upgraded from my Self Employeed Account page -> upgrade option)

All the paid invoices are not showing up as income.

Thanks for sharing your concern with us, @BB1974. I know how crucial it is for you to get your data imported to QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to help you.

 

The option to automatically import data when you upgrade from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online is unavailable. Although, you can download your transactions in a CSV file and manually upload them into QuickBooks Online. I'll show you how.

 

  1. In QuickBooks Self-Employed, select the Transaction menu.
  2. Choose the transaction types, accounts, and time period you want to download from the drop-down menus.
  3. From the top of the transaction list, select the Download icon.
  4. Save the file.

 

If you're ready to upload your CSV file into QuickBooks Online, you can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Log in to your new QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click Settings and then Import Data.
  3. Select Bank Data.
  4. From the Get your info from your bank section, select Browse.
  5. Locate and select the CSV file you downloaded. Click Open and Next.
  6. From the QuickBooks Account drop-down, select the account you want to move the transactions into and Next.
  7. If you don't have any accounts yet, here's how to create new ones.
  8. Match the statement fields from the CSV with the ones in QuickBooks Online. Then select Next.
  9. Select the transactions you want to move to QuickBooks Online then, click Next.
  10. Then click Yes and Let’s go.

 

However, if you plan to connect the same bank and credit card accounts you used in QuickBooks Self-Employed, you don't need to move any transactions. 

 

Since QuickBooks will automatically download several months of recent transactions. The Online Banking feature saves time and avoids importing duplicates. Here's a link for more details: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

 

Moreover, you can also choose a third-party app in the QuickBooks Apps Store. This way, you can easily import data into QuickBooks Online.

Every time I log in to self-employed, it automatically forwards me to QuickBook online. How can I access my self-employed account without auto-forwarding?

Let me share additional information about the conversion process.

 

Once you move your data using the Explore QuickBooks option, you'll be automatically routed to the QuickBooks Online (QBO) interface every time you sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). This is because your login credentials have also been converted.

 

If you need to go back to your QBSE account to get your older data, you'll have to get in touch with our technical supports. This way, we can pull up your account details and reactivate your access. You can chat with us through this link: Contact Support.
