When trying to import items into Quickbooks for Mac, I keep getting a "name is too long" error. I'm using the same naming structure I already have in place. How to fix?

Welcome to the Community, @laura162.

When you import data into QuickBooks for Mac, the error message can be because the company file name includes special characters ( / \ < > ! $).

If your company file has no special character, yet you received the error, you can check to identify whether your company file is compromised.

I'm also adding this article as your reference in importing data into QuickBooks for Mac: Import data into QuickBooks for Mac.

Furthermore, you can find resources about using QuickBooks for Mac here: QuickBooks Desktop for Mac User's Guide.
