Question

Does my first invoice payment take longer to get deposited into my account or do they all take long? I had a customer pay my first invoice last week and still no deposit

I understand how waiting for your first payment to show up can be a little frustrating, @mncontractingservicesfl. When you’re new to QuickBooks Payments, the first few payments may take a bit longer because we need extra time to fully set up your account. Typically, the first deposit can take up to 5 business days.

The good news is that once your account setup is complete, future payments will process much faster, depending on your deposit speed settings, such as next-day or standard deposit.

If it’s been more than 5 business days since your customer paid, I recommend checking the status in your Merchant Service Center:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. Go to the Transactions section to see the status of the payment.
*If it shows as “Withheld” status, it means we’re still reviewing it. You should have received an email outlining the steps to complete the review.
*If the payment has already been deposited, it’s worth checking with your bank to confirm they’ve processed it.
