Question

Apple app, won’t let me dark date a new invoice or sales receipt. When a date is selected, it defaults to “Today’s” date.

Hi there, @thewhairstudio1.

Normally, you can enter any prior date when creating an invoice. Let's perform troubleshooting to refresh the data saved on your phone. You can refresh your QuickBooks Online (QBO) app to fix this issue. Here's how:

  1. Open the QBO app on your iPad.
  2. From the Menu ☰ icon, select About.
  3. Tap Re-download data.

Once done, try to create an invoice and enter a date before today. If you're still not able to do that, I'd suggest restarting your device.

Lastly, if it's still not working, you can uninstall and reinstall the QBO app. I'll show you how to do that.

Here's how to uninstall the QBO app:

  1. Touch and hold the QBO app.
  2. Tap Delete App.
  3. Tap Delete.

To reinstall the QBO app, refer to the steps below:

  1. Open the App Store on your iPad or iPhone.
  2. Tap the Search button and enter QuickBooks App and tap Search.
  3. Locate the QBO app, then tap the Cloud icon to download the app again.
