Can I designate a portion of my balance as a reserve/pledge?

I'd be delighted to help walk you through in setting up a Reserve Account in QuickBooks Online. Let's get started!

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear Icon.
2. Choose All List.
3. Select Chart of Accounts.
4. Click New.
5. Choose the Bank Account Type.
6. As for the Detail type, it can be designated as an Asset or any other category you prefer.
7. You can enter Reserve Account for the account name.
8. Complete the remaining information as needed, such as "Description," "Routing Number" and "Bank Account Number".
9. Click Save and Close.

That should do it! You can follow the same steps if you wish to designate a specific bank account for pledges.
